Grey’s Anatomy 5.23/5.24 – “Here’s To The Future” / “Now Or Never”

I thought about writing two seperate episode reviews for the two episodes which were the season finale, but than I realized that I would probably repeat myself and that I could save time and words if I wrote about both episodes in one review. I liked the finale. There were a couple of things I didn’t like, so these episodes won’t get a top spot on my list of favourite episodes, but all in all, I felt entertained enough.

Grey’s Anatomy 5.22 – “What a Difference a Day Makes”

I read a few tweets before I watched the show this morning and most of these fans on twitter were rather disappointed with this – 100th – episode. So I thought I might be disappointed too, but I wasn’t. I absolutely loved it. Maybe I wasn’t disappointed because I didn’t really expect anything spectacular, 100th episode or not. Besides all the talking and promos and hype about it in advance, there also were a lot of spoilers about what would (possibly) happen in this episode. And I’m a spoiler whore *g*, I just can’t stay away from them, so I had a pretty solid idea what would happen. And it did and I loved it.

Grey’s Anatomy 5.21 – “No Good At Saying Sorry”

I really really enjoyed this episode even though there wasn’t any “big” or overly special thing happening. I guess I enjoyed it so much because for a first time in a long time I wasn’t annoyed by a single storyline or character.

Grey’s Anatomy 5.18 – “Stand By Me”

It probably would be wiser if I’d gone to bed right after I have gotten home a few minutes ago. I’m so exhausted. But obviously not exhausted enough to postpone writing this review till tomorrow afternoon. But I just have to get that out of my system :-) I very much enjoyed this episode. And I usually start my review with the things I didn’t like and end with the things I love. This time I have to start with the thing that left me thinking for a while. Meredith (and Derek)

Once more, only a few first thoughts on Grey’s

I had hoped that I’d be able to write my review tonight, but I don’t and I’ve got another busy day tomorrow, so the review will probably not up before Sunday afternoon. Just a few tiny thoughts, because I couldn’t watch all the episode in peace yet. I was in a hurry this morning and was only able to fastforward (to all the Derek and Meredith and some other scenes). But I’ve liked what I saw a lot, because it had everything I expect from a Grey’s episode and for the first time in a long time the “fab 5″ were together as the group of friends they became.

Also for the first time (in probably ever) I was pissed at Meredith. I usually like her a lot, even then, when a lot of other viewers think she’s whiny and annoying. But I was really mad for a moment, when she said, what she said at the trailer. I had a lot of time to think about it though, because I spent almost 3 hours in the waiting room at my neuro’s practice. Which might deserve a special entry as well.
Anyway, I spent that time thinking about that scene and then I wasn’t so pissed at Meredith anymore :-). I actually kind of understand why she said, what she said and I even more think she is right. I only wish she would have said it a bit nicer…

So, that’s all for now, I have to catch up on my feedreader, blogroll and such. At least I will try for a bit, before I’ll turn in…

Grey’s Anatomy 5.17 – “I Will Follow You Into The Dark”

When I watched the episode for a second time last evening, comfy lounging in front of my TV I really enjoyed it even more than during the first round of watching. It felt more like the old Grey’s than a lot of episodes recently and I don’t have a lot of thing I didn’t like.

Grey’s Anatomy 5.13 – “Stairways To Heaven”

The laundry is done, the apartment is cleaned. The rest of the stuff I should be doing this weekend has to wait a while. I had to watch the episode once more first and express my thoughts of the latest Grey’s episode. Which I LOVED. A LOT. Yes, it deserves Caps Lock this time… :-)

Grey’s 4.16/4.17 – “Freedom”

I was strangely busy since Friday afternoon. And then, not really that busy, but just had too many things on my mind. Or just couldn’t think straight, because I was beating myself up over not being as effective with the things I actually wanted to do. Procrastination and all.
But I will start checking off things from my virtual “To-Do” List with this Grey’s review. I never thought I could fall in love with a TV show all over again, because I already love this show pretty much, but this episode totally blew me away. Maybe because it didn’t disappoint all of my great expectations? It’s not easy to put my thoughts into a coherent post, but I’ll try anyway. And it’s going to be a looooong post.

Let’s talk about sex… :-)

I cleaned my apartement and my patio, finally put the flowers into the flowerbed and keep my fingers crossed that they will survive my lack of gardening talent. After all of that I actually wanted to start ironing all the loads of laundry from last and this week. This got postponed by my attempt to finally get back into some kind of study routine. The Energy 1 paper is due in two weeks and I hadn’t worked on it for a month. There are just two assignments left for me to work on, because I have no idea how to solve the remaining two. I finished the first and probably will do the other one tomorrow, so that I can revise the paper on the weekend.

And then I found a new Grey’s sneak and had some dinner and I might finally start ironing now. Great way to spend a evening, right? No, not really. At least the one sneak was really really cute.

Grey’s fanfic recommendation

I’m an avid reader of Grey’s fanfictions, as some of you might have noticed. I usually don’t recommend any stories here, because… well, I don’t even know why I don’t :-). Probably because I don’t know which one to choose and if anyone would be interested in recommendations at all. And a lot of the stories I like are really really long, epic novel like long, so that might scare any reader away.

Anyway, I just read a beautiful one-shot. Wonderfully written with some really heartbreaking moments. It’s a great character study of Meredith and Derek and the persons they could turn into in the future (after episode 4.11 that is.) We all know that this future won’t happen, but I really enjoyed reading this. There is some porn in the first part, so be warned :-)
